Back in Vietnam as a young boy, I vividly remember seeing glistening mangos and red wax apples swaying in the wind on the side of the dusty road. I’ve never forgotten that moment and looked forward to seeing them every single day on my way home from school. I miss the Mekong river in front of my village, where I was born. I am the fifth son of a big family, and these plants have always been part of my life. Seeing the abundance of these plants inspired me: why not give back to my family and the community by sharing these exotic fruits? It became my dream, one that did not dwindle when I moved to the United States.
Today, I have my very own garden. The Ba Noi Gardens is my life and passion. The name “Ba Noi” in Vietnamese means Grandma and is in memory of my grandmother, who inspired me to create what I have today. These tropical fruit trees, rare in the United States, have accomplished the dream of that boy many years ago. I would like to share with you an experience of having fresh and delicious Vietnamese fruits grown organically and with love.
No pesticides. No chemicals. No nonsense. Our goal is to give you natural fruits that we can enjoy with our own families and that is exactly what we have achieved. Due to COVID-19 and the 2021 winter storm, our gardens have had a delayed opening, but now we are ready to serve our product to everyone with pride. Our tropical fruits range from mangoes, sugar apples, starfruit, guavas, sapodilla, and many more. Each fruit is harvested, packaged, and sold with care. No matter where our business goes, we will always stay true to our mission statement:
Here at The Ba Noi Gardens, we strive to give you a taste of Vietnam in America grown with love.
A garden of joy and cherished memory.
Sincerely,
Doanh Hoang
